Currently working Adult Services at my local public library helping people out with their computer and technology needs. After leaving the Army (honorably) in 2012 I tought myself some programming (ruby and C++) while working at a tech support help desk for Verizon. Wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my life so I switched to working physical security, both armed and unarmed. After playing the game Hacknet in 2020 and subsequently finding Hack the Box, I eventually decided it was fun enough to pursue as a career. Just finished my program and looking to enter the field of penetration testing.

Curently I am doing some self study through TCM to get some certs. I'm working on getting the PJPT right now and will be setting my sites on the PNPT shortly after that.

My future certification plans after the PNPT are to get my SEC+, Pentest+, and then tackle the OSCP.

Hacking Club

If you are here from the library hacking club, welcome!

You'll be able to find a list of resources and links on the DATA page. All the rest of the information is in the discord, if you need another invite, shoot me an email or come up and ask me in Adult Services.

If you are just joining us and wanted a quick overview, hello! This is a club dedicated to ethical hacking with the focus of getting late teens and young adults to the point where they can comfortably enter CTF events.

Club beginners will be taught the basics of Linux commands, networking, python programming, and cryptography. We'll spend a few weeks learning the intro material and then start working on some boxes with the end goal of tackling a bounty on bugcrowd.

The schedule is posted in the discord and at the adult services desk, though you can also shoot me an email or call the library for more info.
